The Arts Society of West Suffolk (formally West Suffolk DFAS) was founded in 1972 and is a Registered Charity (Charity Number 281081). We are proud that The Duchess of Grafton is our President. Currently we have around 150 members and would like to embrace more. We warmly welcome members guests, visitors and prospective members.  We provide a Reception Desk for this very purpose.

Our aim is to give members the opportunity to make friends with people with similar interests in the Arts, as well as providing the opportunity for members to enjoy stimulating and interesting lectures, study days and outings which will increase their knowledge and understanding. In addition, we organise visits to art galleries, museums and places of special historic, architectural, cultural or topical interest.

We also support activities such as local projects undertaken by the Church Recording Society, Heritage Volunteers and Young Arts.
